Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi action game Pragmata is finally almost here, launching on April 17, 2026. If you are planning to play it on PC, you will want to know whether your rig is ready. We have broken down everything you need to know about the PC system requirements so you do not get any nasty surprises on launch day.
What Is Pragmata?
Pragmata is a third-person action game set in a near-future version of New York City. You play as a mysterious operative working alongside an enigmatic girl and an advanced AI suit. Developed by Capcom using their RE Engine, the game promises stunning visuals and intense combat, which explains why the hardware demands are fairly serious.
Pragmata PC System Requirements at a Glance
Here is a full breakdown of what your PC needs to run the game, from the bare minimum to the smooth-running recommended settings:
| Spec | Minimum (1080p / 45fps) | Recommended (1080p / 60fps) |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 11 (64-bit) | Windows 11 (64-bit) |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500 | Intel Core i7-8700 / AMD Ryzen 5 5500 |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1660 6GB / RX 5500 XT 8GB | RTX 2060 Super / RX 6600 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | 40GB SSD Recommended | 40GB SSD Recommended |
Minimum Requirements: What You Need to Just Get In
To run Pragmata at 1080p with around 45 frames per second on the Performance preset, your PC needs at least a Windows 11 64-bit operating system. There is no mention of Windows 10 support, so if you have not upgraded yet, now is the time.
On the CPU side, you will need an Intel Core i5-8500 or an AMD Ryzen 5 3500. These are mid-range processors from a few years back, so most modern builds should be fine. You will also need 16 GB of RAM, which has now become the standard entry point for PC gaming.
The GPU requirements are where things get a little more interesting. The minimum asks for either a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 with 6 GB of VRAM or an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB of VRAM. Both are older cards, but the VRAM requirement on the AMD side is notably higher than the NVIDIA option. DirectX 12 support is mandatory across the board.
Capcom strongly recommends using an SSD over a traditional hard drive. While the game may technically load on an HDD, you can expect noticeably longer load times and possible stuttering without solid-state storage.
Recommended Requirements: For the Better Experience
If you want to hit a smooth 60 frames per second at 1080p with Balanced settings, your system needs a bit more power. The CPU target bumps up to an Intel Core i7-8700 or an AMD Ryzen 5 5500. RAM stays at 16 GB, so you do not need to upgrade there.
The GPU jump is meaningful here. Capcom recommends an NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super or an AMD Radeon RX 6600 for the recommended tier. These are more capable cards that will give you a noticeably smoother and more visually polished experience compared to the bare minimum.

Ray Tracing: What You Need
Want to enable ray tracing in Pragmata? You will need to step up your GPU to either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 12 GB of VRAM or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12 GB of VRAM. Ray tracing adds more realistic lighting and reflections, and the VRAM requirement makes clear this is not a feature for older cards.
One More Thing: Denuvo DRM
It is worth noting that Pragmata will launch with Denuvo anti-tamper DRM. This is a form of copy protection that some players feel can affect performance, particularly on lower-end systems. If you are gaming on a budget PC, it is something to keep in mind when setting your expectations.
Try Before You Buy: Free Demo Available Now
Not sure if your PC is ready? Capcom has released a free Sketchbook demo for Pragmata on Steam right now. It is the perfect way to test your hardware before spending any money on the full game. If the demo runs well, you can be fairly confident about the full release.
Bottom Line
Pragmata is a demanding but not unreasonable PC game. If you have a mid-to-high-range GPU from the last four or five years and a modern CPU with 16 GB of RAM, you should be in good shape. The ray tracing requirements are steeper, but that is expected for a visually ambitious title built on Capcom’s RE Engine.
