Xenoblade Chronicles 2 follows on July 30, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 rounds out the trilogy on December 3. A new trailer showed off more of the setting, the capital of the Dagdan Empire, where players fight through a tournament called the Heroic Games. The description calls it “a funny and heartfelt new adventure” that lets players fight or spare their way through new battles while exploring a mysterious world. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Is Back on Switch 2
Wuhu Island is making a return. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, and it is stacked with content. The game includes 12 sports total, with returning favorites like Bowling, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Boxing, Archery, and Basketball, alongside new additions like Skateboarding using Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, Power Cruising, Prop Plane, and the absolutely ridiculous Thumb Wrestling. Jump Rope is in there too for warm-ups. Up to four players can compete locally or online. Preorders open today on the Nintendo eShop.
Star Fox Gets a Free Demo Today
The Star Fox revival is moving fast. A free demo for Star Fox is available to download right now on Nintendo Switch 2, ahead of the full game launching on June 25. That is less than two weeks away. Nintendo showed new gameplay footage in the Direct and the game is looking sharp.
Rhythm Heaven Groove Opens July 2
Nintendo kicked off the entire Direct with Rhythm Heaven Groove, the long-awaited return of the beloved rhythm game series. The game launches on July 2, 2026 on both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch. It features over 80 new rhythm minigames in single-player and more than 30 multiplayer games for up to four players. There is also a combat segment where players cast spells using the power of rhythm, which sounds exactly as ridiculous and fun as it should.
Orbitals Is a New Switch 2 Exclusive
