These undead camels follow very specific spawning rules:

Only spawn at night or at light level 0 – They appear exclusively in desert biomes, just like Husks. Daytime won’t spawn them, and torches will prevent them from appearing.
A small chance to spawn with two riders – Roughly 10% of Camel Husk spawns come preloaded with a Husk sitting up front and a Parched riding behind it. When both are mounted, the camel becomes instantly aggressive toward you.
They require open space – The game only spawns them in wide, unobstructed areas large enough for a camel-sized mob. You won’t find them tucked into caves or narrow gaps.
Only adult Husks can mount them – If a group of Husks generates with the camel, only one of them is allowed to ride, and baby Husks never spawn as riders.

Battling Riders on a Camel Husk

A Camel Husk isn’t always dangerous on its own. The aggression only comes from the riders. When a Husk or Parched is mounted, they control the behavior, making the camel charge at you like any other hostile undead mob.

The easiest way to deal with this situation is to take out the riders from a distance. A shield helps block incoming hits, and using a bow or crossbow allows you to drop the riders without accidentally harming the camel. How to Tame a Camel Husk

Rabbit’s foot – This is the Camel Husk’s favorite food and the key to winning its trust.

Steps to tame it:

Hold a rabbit’s foot in your hand.
Walk up to the Camel Husk so it focuses on you.
Right-click to feed it the rabbit’s foot.
When red heart particles appear, the Camel Husk is officially tamed.

Unlike horses, you don’t need to repeatedly mount it until it accepts you. One feeding is enough to claim it.

You can tame other undead mounts in this update, too, such as Zombie Horses, but the Camel Husk is one of the easiest to work with.

How to Ride and Control a Camel Husk

Once tamed, simply right-click with an empty hand to hop onto your Camel Husk. Right now, it won’t respond to your controls until you attach a saddle.

Two ways to equip a saddle:

Method 1 – Press E while riding to open the mount’s inventory, then place the saddle in its slot.

Method 2 – Hold a saddle in your hand, walk up to the camel, and right-click to place it directly on its back.

Camel Husks don’t support armor, but they don’t really need it. They have strong natural health and don’t burn in sunlight, making them solid daytime travel companions too.

Once saddled, you can move the Camel Husk with your directional keys. Holding the jump key fills a dash meter, and releasing it when the bar turns orange triggers a long, powerful dash, one of the best mobility bursts available among rideable mobs.
