Edward Kenway is finally coming back, and after months of leaks, the wait is almost over.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a full remake of the 2013 pirate classic, rebuilt for PC and current-gen consoles. Expect better visuals, smoother gameplay, and some fresh story content on top of everything you remember.
One thing worth flagging early: the original multiplayer mode and the first-person modern day sections are both gone in this version. Ubisoft wants your full attention on the Caribbean this time around, nothing else.

Preloading Has Already Started
Xbox Series X/S owners can preload right now. That option went live back on June 22.
PC and PS5 players get their turn next. Preloading opens at 2pm UTC on July 7 for PC, and at midnight local time for PS5.

When the Game Actually Unlocks
Console players get the same simple rule everywhere: Black Flag Resynced unlocks at midnight local time on July 9, whether you’re on PS5 or Xbox Series X/S.
PC is a different story. Across Ubisoft Connect, Steam, Epic Games Store, and cloud platforms like GeForce Now and Blacknut, the game unlocks at a fixed global moment rather than local midnight. That works out to 10am Eastern, 7am Pacific, and 3pm UK time on July 7.
Because that’s a single global timestamp, local unlock times swing wildly depending on where you live. Someone in Los Angeles gets in a full two days before someone in Tokyo.
