If you’ve been logging into ARC Raiders and wondering why your Il Toro doesn’t feel quite as powerful today, you’re not imagining things. ARC Raiders Patch 1.20.0 is now live across all platforms, and it comes packed with weapon balance changes, a major economy nerf, new cosmetics, and a handful of long-overdue bug fixes.
Here’s a full breakdown of everything you need to know.
How to Get the Update
The patch is already rolling out on all platforms. All you need to do is restart your game and the download will kick in automatically. No manual steps needed.
New Cosmetics: Fresh Looks Are Here
If you’re someone who plays for the drip, this patch has something for you.
Embark has dropped the new Rawhide Outfit, priced at 1,200 coins. The set includes three alternate color options along with headgear, a mask, straps, and a vest. It’s a solid pickup if you like a rugged, worn-in aesthetic.
Two new haircuts have also made it into the shop: the Curtain Fade and the Low Bun. Both are available for 400 coins each.
Il Toro Gets Hit Hard
This is the big one. The Il Toro, one of the most popular and arguably overpowered weapons in the game, has received a significant nerf.
Embark explained that the gun was performing far above its intended role, particularly at range when paired with a choke mod. The goal was to make it feel more like its rarity suggests: less of a do-everything weapon at lower upgrade levels, and more dependent on upgrades and mods to shine.
Here are the exact numbers that changed:
- Pellet Damage: 7.5 down to 7
- Base Fire Rate: 43 down to 38
- Base Dispersion: 4.5 up to 6 (wider spread, less accurate)
- Total Reload Time: 4.3 seconds up to 5.7 seconds
- Looping Reload Entry: 0.8 seconds up to 1 second
- Looping Reload Time: 0.5 seconds up to 0.7 seconds
- Damage Falloff Loss: 40% up to 50% (drops off harder at range)
In short, the Il Toro is slower, less accurate, and falls off harder at distance. Players who relied on it as an all-purpose weapon will need to rethink their loadouts.
Energy Clips Just Got Way Less Profitable
Here’s a change that will sting for crafters who figured out the meta.
The selling price of Energy Clips has been slashed from 1,000 coins all the way down to 200 coins. Embark acknowledged that Energy Clips had accidentally become one of the most profitable crafts in the game, and this update brings their value in line with other crafted items.
If your in-game income strategy was built around Energy Clip crafting, it’s time to find a new hustle.
Bug Fixes You’ll Actually Notice
The patch also addresses a few frustrating bugs that have been bothering players for a while.
Players were getting pushed through walls and becoming stuck in the Dam Controlled Access Zone. That’s now fixed. There were also missing collision issues near the east elevator on Spaceport and under some pipes, both of which have been resolved.
And if you’ve had your ears assaulted by looping audio bugs after destroying Comets and Fireballs, that persistent sound glitch is finally gone.
What’s Coming Next
The 1.20.0 patch is just one piece of a bigger picture. The major Flashpoint expansion is expected to drop later this month, with another significant update lined up for April as part of the Q1 roadmap.
Things are moving fast in ARC Raiders, and the upcoming content could shake up the meta all over again.
