The wait is finally over. GTA 6 pre-orders went live at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, and yes, we now know the price.
Rockstar confirmed everything through its official Newswire and X account, and the numbers are real. No more guessing, no more leaks, no more $200 rumors.
What Does GTA 6 Cost?
There are two editions, and only two.
The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99. The Ultimate Edition, which comes loaded with exclusive cosmetics, vehicles, and story content, will cost you $99.99.
That $80 base price puts GTA 6 in rare company. Only Mario Kart World launched at that price before it. It stings a little, but honestly, is anyone surprised?

Where to Pre-Order Right Now
You can grab your copy on the PlayStation Store, Xbox/Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store, or through physical retailers like Amazon and Walmart.
Keep in mind that physical editions don’t include a disc. You get a download code in the box instead. That’s the reality of physical media in 2026.

When Can You Start Playing?
GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026, for PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
Pre-loading opens on November 12, a full week before launch. So if you go digital, the game will be ready the moment servers flip on. No sitting around watching a download bar on release night.
Physical buyers can also grab their boxed copy from November 12, pop in the code, and pre-load just the same.
Online Mode and PC
One thing Rockstar made very clear is that GTA 6 launches as a single-player experience only. GTA Online is not part of the day-one package.
As for PC, there’s nothing confirmed yet. Based on how Rockstar handled GTA 5, a PC version is probably at least a year out, maybe more. PC players will have to wait this one out.
