Microsoft has confirmed the second batch of Xbox Game Pass games for May 2026, and while it is a quieter wave compared to the first half of the month, there is still a solid mix of titles worth your time.
Forza Horizon 6 already made Wave 1 a big one. Wave 2 does not try to match that energy, but it brings variety. RPG fans, horror lovers, indie game players, and even parents looking for something for the kids all have something here.
Day One Releases in Wave 2
Four games are hitting Xbox Game Pass on their actual launch day, which is always the best value subscribers can get.
Luna Abyss, a bullet hell action adventure game from Kwalee Labs, launches on May 21 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. This game has been in development for a while and finally has a release date. If you like fast, punishing gameplay with a dark atmosphere, keep this one on your radar.
Echo Generation 2, the sci-fi deckbuilding RPG sequel from Cococucumber, arrives on May 27. Fans of the original game have been waiting for this follow-up for some time now.
Crashout Crew from Aggro Crab and Kabuto Park from Doot both drop on May 28. Crashout Crew is a physics-based party racing game that looks chaotic in the best possible way. Kabuto Park is a cozy bug collecting game, which is a completely different vibe but equally charming.

Games Worth Highlighting
Remnant II is back. It left Game Pass almost exactly a year ago and is now returning on May 20. The co-op action RPG has tough bosses, strong gunplay, and randomly generated world layouts that make repeat runs feel different each time. If you skipped it before, this is a good time to try it.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition is another solid pick. It is Obsidian’s single-player RPG set in a corporate-controlled solar system with sharp writing and real choice-driven gameplay. Not everyone got around to playing it at launch, so having it on Xbox Game Pass is a decent opportunity.
Dead Static Drive rounds out May 20 with something darker. It is a road-trip survival game with horror and supernatural elements mixed in. A weird one, but in an interesting way.
For anyone with younger kids at home, My Friend Peppa Pig lands on the same day. Simple, friendly, and probably the one title on this list most guaranteed to get hours of play from a five-year-old.
June Already Has Two Games Locked In
Microsoft revealed two early June additions along with the Wave 2 announcement. Final Fantasy VI and Jurassic World Evolution 3 are both arriving on June 2.
Final Fantasy VI is widely considered one of the strongest entries in the entire series. Getting it on Xbox Game Pass is a big win for RPG fans who have never played the classic.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 follows the October 2025 launch of the park management game from Frontier. If you enjoy building and managing your own dinosaur theme park, this one is coming soon.
The full Wave 1 announcement for June is expected around June 2 as well. Microsoft also has an Xbox Showcase event on June 7, where more Xbox Game Pass news is likely to be revealed.
Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 31
Five titles are leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month. If any of these are on your backlog, finish them before May 31:
- Against the Storm (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Crypt Custodian (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Metaphor: ReFantazio (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Persona 4 Golden (Cloud, Console, PC)
- Spray Paint Simulator (Cloud, Console, PC)
Metaphor: ReFantazio and Persona 4 Golden leaving on the same day is a rough one for JRPG fans. Both are long games. You probably will not finish either before the deadline, but even getting started means you can buy them at a discount to keep your save.
