Nintendo Direct June 2026 Start Time, and How to Watch

Nintendo is finally having its big moment. After months of staying quiet while Sony and Microsoft ran their showcases, Nintendo has confirmed the Nintendo Direct June 2026 for June 9. It kicks off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET, runs for about 50 minutes, and covers upcoming games for both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch.

Right after the Nintendo Direct wraps, Nintendo Treehouse: Live takes over for another 95 minutes of extended gameplay demos.

This is the first proper general Nintendo Direct since September 2025, nine months ago. Earlier this year, Nintendo only ran a Partner Showcase in February and a few smaller game-specific streams. So yes, the bar for this one is very high.

What Could Actually Get Announced

The biggest rumor going into this Nintendo Direct is a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2.

Insider NateTheHate claimed the project is real and targeting a holiday 2026 release window. What makes people take this seriously is that the same source correctly predicted the Star Fox Switch 2 remake before Nintendo officially revealed it. Nintendo hasn’t said a word about it, but with 2026 being the 40th anniversary of the Zelda franchise, the timing would make perfect sense.

Beyond Zelda, there is a solid list of games fans are watching closely at this Nintendo Direct.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave still has no release date, and it is widely expected to be Nintendo’s big title for the second half of the year. A date reveal here seems very likely.

FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, the Switch 2 exclusive, has not been shown much since its initial reveal. Players want actual gameplay, and this Nintendo Direct might finally deliver it.

Splatoon Raiders and Rhythm Heaven: Miracle Stars are both confirmed 2026 titles that could get release windows or fresh trailers at the Nintendo Direct.

There is also talk of Switch 2 versions of Pikmin 4 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2, a brand-new Wario Land game, and possible updates to Nintendo Switch Online including a challenge system for classic NES, SNES, and Game Boy titles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is expected to get a spotlight too. It would be the first Call of Duty on a Nintendo console in about 13 years, so Nintendo will likely make a big deal of it at this Nintendo Direct.

Nintendo Direct June 2026: Where and When to Watch

The Nintendo Direct streams live on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel and through the Nintendo Today app on iOS and Android. It starts at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM UK today, June 9.

Nintendo Treehouse: Live follows right after with nearly 95 more minutes of content, so block out most of your morning if you plan to watch it all live.

Why This Nintendo Direct Matters More Than Usual

This is the first full Nintendo Direct since the Switch 2 launched, and Nintendo’s schedule for the rest of 2026 is noticeably thin right now. That makes this showcase bigger than a typical June Direct.

Whatever Nintendo has been saving up, today is when we find out.

If the Ocarina of Time remake shows up at this Nintendo Direct, it would easily rank among the biggest Nintendo announcements in years. Fans have been waiting a long time for this one, and the timing has never made more sense.
