Sony has revealed the PS Plus free games for May 2026, featuring EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols. The lineup goes live on May 5 and offers a mix of sports, action RPG, and indie gameplay. Premium members also get access to Time Crisis starting May 19.

Three games are hitting the service on Tuesday, May 5, and they cover a solid mix of genres. Whether you are into soccer, brutal boss fights, or stylish 2D action, there is something here for you.
What You Are Getting in May
The headliner is EA Sports FC 26, available on both PS5 and PS4. It comes with an overhauled gameplay system built around community feedback, a refreshed Rivals and Champions mode, and a revamped Football Ultimate Team experience. On top of the game itself, PS Plus members get an exclusive Icons Pack as a bonus, which is a nice touch ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
Next up is Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and this one is the real surprise of the month. The game only launched less than a year ago, so seeing it hit PS Plus this quickly is unexpected. It is a Soulslike action RPG set during the collapse of China’s Ming Dynasty. You fight monsters, master different weapons, and piece together the mystery behind a plague called Feathering that turns people into creatures. Critics gave it an 8/10 at launch, specifically calling out its boss fights and combat systems. If you liked Black Myth: Wukong or Elden Ring, this one belongs on your list.
Rounding out the trio is Nine Sols. It is a hand-drawn 2D action-platformer that wears its Sekiro inspiration openly, with deflection-based combat at the center of everything. The art style is gorgeous, the world is dense with lore, and the game received a major update last year that made an already good game better. It runs on both PS5 and PS4.
One More Thing for Premium Members
If you are on PS Plus Premium, you have an extra treat coming. Time Crisis, a port of the classic 1997 PlayStation 1 light gun game, lands in the Classics Catalog on May 19. It will work with gyro aiming on both PS5 and PS4, recreating the feel of the original light gun setup. New quality-of-life additions include quick saves, a rewind feature, and visual upgrades. You can also buy it separately on the PS Store if you want to own it outright.
Do Not Forget April Before It’s Too Late
Before May arrives, you have until Monday, May 4 to grab April’s lineup, which includes Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. Once that window closes, they are gone from the free library. The good news is that whatever you add to your library, Essential games stay with you as long as your subscription is active.
May’s full Game Catalog additions for Extra and Premium members will be announced around May 13.
