PlayStation Plus April 2026 free games featuring Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online

Sony has officially announced its PlayStation Plus free games lineup for April 2026, and it is honestly a solid month. Three titles are heading your way, and if you are into action-heavy RPGs, you are in for a treat.

Here is everything you need to know before you hit that download button.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for April 2026

Sony has confirmed three free games for April 2026 as part of the PS Plus Essential monthly lineup. All three titles will go live on Tuesday, April 7, and will be available to claim until Monday, May 4.

The games are available to all PS Plus members, whether you are on the Essential, Extra, or Premium tier. Once you claim them, they are yours to keep as long as your subscription stays active.

Lords of the Fallen (PS5)

The headliner this month is Lords of the Fallen, a dark fantasy RPG that launched back in 2023. Think Dark Souls, but with a twist.

You play as one of the legendary Dark Crusaders, warriors on a mission to stop the resurrected demon god Adyr from tearing humanity apart. The world is massive, reportedly five times larger than the original game, and it is packed with brutal boss fights and fast, punishing combat.

If you love games that test your patience and reward persistence, this one is right up your alley. Fans of Elden Ring and Dark Souls have already been calling this one of the better souls-like games from recent years.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (PS5 and PS4)

Next up is Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, a polished collection that brings back Lara Croft’s earliest and most iconic adventures.

This one has been a bit of a talking point online. There were some controversies around updates that were made after launch, but the general consensus is that it is still a great way to experience the classics, especially if you never played the originals.

Also worth noting: this is the only title in April’s lineup that supports PS4. So if you have not made the jump to PS5 yet, Tomb Raider is your pick this month.

Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream (PS5)

Rounding out the trio is Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, one of the newer entries in the popular anime franchise. It came out in 2024 and has been well-received by fans of the series.

The game offers anime-style battles, a unique Galaxia system that lets you replay past battles in new ways, and a roster of 21 characters pulled from across the entire Sword Art Online universe. You can play it solo or team up with friends in co-op mode.

For reference, this game normally sells for $60 and offers around 18 to 26 hours of gameplay depending on how you play. Getting it for free is a genuinely good deal.

Do Not Miss March’s Games

Before you get too excited about April, a quick reminder: March’s PS Plus free games will no longer be available after April 6. If you have not claimed them yet, you have very little time left. Head to the PlayStation Store right now and grab them before they are gone.

What Makes This Month Worth It

Between Lords of the Fallen and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream alone, you are looking at over 70 hours of combined gameplay and a combined retail value of around $90, all included with your existing subscription.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered adds even more to that total, making April one of the better months PS Plus has had in a while, especially for RPG fans.

Claim Your Games Before May 4

All three games will be available starting April 7, and you have until May 4 to add them to your library. Head to the PlayStation Store on your PS4 or PS5, or through the PlayStation app, and claim them now before you forget.

Have a PS Plus subscription and still not sure which game to try first? Start with Lords of the Fallen if you love a challenge. You will not regret it.
