Summer Game Fest Live 2026 is done. Two hours, Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Geoff Keighley on stage, and announcement after announcement without much breathing room in between.
GTA VI did not show up. Not a shock. But what did show up was more than enough to keep gaming fans busy for a long time.

Here is everything announced at Summer Game Fest Live 2026, in order.
Resident Evil: Veronica
The show opened with a slow, unsettling trailer, and the crowd lost it the moment the title appeared.
Capcom is remaking Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Claire Redfield is back, the game is heading to PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and PC, and it launches in 2027. Long-overdue does not even begin to cover it.
Mighty Cuphead Adventure
Studio MDHR did not come with one game. They came with two.
First up: Mighty Cuphead Adventure, a pixel-art spin-off with roots in the Sega Master System era. It is being made by a smaller team within the studio. Fast-action, platform shooter style. No release window yet.
Alien: Isolation 2
Creative Assembly is making Alien: Isolation 2, and the first full trailer debuted on the SGF stage.
This time, the Xenomorph is hunting on a colony world. The player still has to sneak to survive. The creative director summed it up simply: “It’s been 12 years since we released Alien Isolation, and we’re continuing what we started.” Coming to Xbox, PS5, Switch 2, and PC.
Gen Atlas
Fumito Ueda, the creator of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, got a proper moment on stage before his next game was revealed.
The project previously known as Project Robot now has an official name: Gen Atlas. It is a sci-fi shooter with kaiju battles. A brief trailer was shown, and that was enough to get everyone paying attention.
Blood Message
NetEase and 24 Entertainment debuted Blood Message, a third-person action game set in ancient China. It was a world premiere, and attendees at SGF Play Days will get the first hands-on with it.
Stranger Than Heaven
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s next big narrative game, Stranger Than Heaven, got a new trailer showcasing its five separate eras. The surprise moment: Tupac Shakur’s likeness appears in the game. Snoop Dogg then walked out on stage to talk about his own role in it. The game launches January 15, 2027.
Hex
Swedish studio Dead Astronauts announced their debut game, Hex. It is a procedural first-person adventure where a research team navigates a supernatural world full of hulking monsters and strange artifacts.
Dead by Daylight
A 10th anniversary trailer for Dead by Daylight aired, teasing more content to come on June 14.
Mortal Shell 2
Mortal Shell 2 made a return appearance after debuting at last year’s SGF. The open beta is now live.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced
Edward Kenway is coming back. The new trailer showed more swashbuckling action, and a re-recorded version of the classic sea shanty Leave Her Johnny played throughout. Black Flag Resynced launches July 9.
TMNT: The Last Ronin
Paramount Game Studios and PlatinumGames are teaming up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. The game follows Michelangelo after his brothers are killed by the Foot Clan. Dark tone, mature story, PlatinumGames handling the action. This one has real potential.
Fortnite: Runners (Chapter 7 Season 3)
Ben Starr introduced the gameplay trailer for Fortnite’s new season, Runners. It focuses on sprites born from the reconstructed Zero Point, and the season began later the same day after the in-game Shattered event.
Gundam: Rogue Orbit
Bandai Namco revealed a new Gundam game coming in 2027. The debut trailer included both cinematics and gameplay.
An Eggstremely Hard Game
Exactly what it sounds like. Two ducks, one egg, and a mountain of obstacles. This co-op game launches July 24.
Crossfire
That’s No Moon, a new studio built by veterans from Naughty Dog, Infinity Ward, and other major studios, debuted its first game: Crossfire. It is a reimagining of the Smilegate franchise with a supernatural twist. The studio is aware it will divide people, and said publicly it is fine with that.
Control Resonant
A new trailer for Remedy’s follow-up to the 2019 hit Control aired on stage. Control Resonant deals with trauma and redemption, and it launches September 24.
Guild Wars 3
ArenaNet confirmed Guild Wars 3 is real. The next MMO in the franchise brings a new world, momentum-based movement, and a rebuilt combat system. It launches on PC and PlayStation 5. No release date yet.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
High-intensity podracing is back. Star Wars Galactic Racer got a new trailer and a release date: October 6, on consoles and PC.
End of Abyss
Section 9 Interactive’s isometric horror game End of Abyss confirmed an October 1 release date in its new trailer.
Virtua Fighter: Crossroads
Sega is bringing back Virtua Fighter. Crossroads is the next game in the series, with a story-focused trailer showing returning character Pai Chan. It launches in 2027.
Runescape: Dragonwilds
The survival spin-off of Jagex’s long-running MMO showed new gameplay ahead of its Version 1.0 launch on September 15.
Grounded 2
Obsidian confirmed Grounded 2, with the next major update called Into the Abyss launching August 11 on consoles and PC. A PS5 version is also coming.
Mafia: The Old Country Expansion
The Old Country is getting a story expansion in August called Man of Honor. Don Salieri from the original Mafia game returns. Fans of the first game will want to pay attention to this one.
1666: Amsterdam
After 14 years in development, Patrice Desilets’ studio Panache finally showed 1666: Amsterdam. Desilets was the original creative lead on Assassin’s Creed before leaving Ubisoft. The prologue is available to download right now on Steam and Epic Games Store, with an early access release coming later this year.
Saw: Genesis
Bloober Team, fresh off the Silent Hill 2 remake, revealed Saw: Genesis. It is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where three players try to escape Jigsaw’s traps while a fourth player controls the traps and hunts them down. Closed alpha sign-ups are open now.
The Lords of the Fallen 2
New gameplay footage for CI Games’ soulslike sequel aired, showing a setting with a strong Japanese theme. The game is expected later this year.
Star Wars: Zero Company
BitReactor’s turn-based Star Wars strategy game got a new gameplay trailer and a confirmed launch date: August 27, 2026. The trailer ended with a glimpse of Anakin Skywalker as a playable character, which nobody saw coming.
The Blood of Dawnwalker
Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves showed a new trailer for their vampire-themed RPG, focusing on its time-hopping mechanic. It launches September 3. Rebel Wolves was founded by former The Witcher 3 developers.
Among Us Story: On Guard
Innersloth debuted a brand new standalone game based on the Among Us universe. The reveal was followed by a look at the new Among Us animated series, which is now streaming on Paramount Plus with all 10 episodes available.
007: First Light DLC
After a strong launch last month, 007: First Light is getting a new story mission later this year featuring Lenny Kravitz’s character Bawma.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
Capcom brought a surprise expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds. Called Ascendance, it introduces a new sky-based region with floating islands for hunters to explore. New monsters, including an Elder Dragon, are confirmed. It arrives in 2027.
Swords of Legends
Aurogon Shanghai debuted Swords of Legends, a 3D action combat RPG continuing their long-running Gujian wuxia series. The raw gameplay trailer showed a boss fight against Kong Kong Zi, Master of Cantrip. Coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush
Milestone unveiled Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush, an open-world racing game set inside a city built from toys, complete with the iconic orange ramps. It launches September 27 on Xbox Series, PS5, PC, and Switch 2.
Sonic’s 35th Anniversary
Sega celebrated with two announcements. Sonic Racing Crossworlds is getting Godzilla and Evangelion DLC in Year Two. Sonic Pico Park was also revealed, a pixelated co-op multiplayer game built around chaos.
Attack on Titan 3
Omega Force and Koei Tecmo are making a third Attack on Titan game. This one covers the entire AoT story from start to finish, and it is heading to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC.
Clutch
Maverick Games, a studio made up of ex-Forza developers, revealed Clutch, a narrative driving game. It is set to launch in 2027. Not much was shown, but the pedigree behind the studio is worth noting.
Chronicles: Medieval
Raw Power Games showed a new trailer for their medieval strategy title, featuring full-scale battles with massive armies clashing on screen.
Sea of Remnants
NetEase’s seafaring pirate game Sea of Remnants got a new gameplay trailer showing exploration and a large-scale fight between two rival pirate factions.
Hitman: World of Assassination
The next Elusive Target is rapper Wiz Khalifa, placed in a cage-fighting setting where his muay thai background is front and center.
Palworld 1.0
Pocketpair confirmed Palworld’s full 1.0 launch is happening on July 10. No more early access after that.
The Wolf Among Us 2
Eight years after its original reveal, The Wolf Among Us 2 is finally, actually coming. The 2027 release is now confirmed. On top of that, a remaster of the original game arrives this holiday season.
Stellar Blade: Blood Rain
The sequel to Shift Up’s action hit was revealed through a trailer showing a cybernetic character fighting body horror monsters in a neon-lit city. It is called Blood Rain. Visually it looks very different from the first game.
Street Fighter 6: Season 4
Capcom confirmed Season 4 of Street Fighter 6, bringing three original characters: Yasmine, Arjun, and Bosch. The season’s guest character is Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII, which makes sense given what closed the show.
Final Fantasy VII: Revelation
The last announcement of the night was the one everyone will remember.
Final Fantasy VII: Revelation is the third and final chapter of the FF7 Remake trilogy. The trailer showed the Highwind airship, new gameplay with Cid and Vincent Valentine, and the official subtitle: Revelation. A second trailer confirmed Spring 2027, and this time the game launches simultaneously on all platforms with no timed exclusivity.
