What to Expect at Summer Game Fest 2026
Confirmed reveals already include a world-first gameplay look at Star Wars Zero Company, a new trailer for Blood Message, and Fortnite’s next season premiere. Maverick Games is also showing off CLUTCH, their new driving game built by former Forza Horizon developers, so racing fans have something to look forward to.
Gears of War: E-Day is arguably the most anticipated title tied to this whole week. Microsoft confirmed it gets its own dedicated Direct right after the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. If you are a Gears fan, the weekend just got a lot better.
On the speculation side, Phantom Blade Zero and The Witcher 4 are among the titles fans are hoping to see. A Resident Evil: Requiem DLC or expansion is also a realistic possibility given how well the game performed when it launched earlier this year.
As for GTA 6, Rockstar has already locked in November 19, 2026 as the release date, but do not expect a Trailer 3 appearance at SGF. Rockstar runs on its own schedule. Marvel’s Wolverine already had its moment at PlayStation’s recent State of Play, with a September 15, 2026 release date confirmed, so that one is off the table for tonight.
Guild Wars and Among Us are both floating around in the rumor space, though nothing has been confirmed for either. At a show like SGF, surprises are always on the table.
The presentation runs about two hours. Keep your expectations flexible and your snacks ready. SGF has a habit of catching everyone off guard.
