Marvel fans, today is the day you have been waiting for. The full official trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has dropped, and the internet is losing its mind.
What makes this one different from every other superhero trailer drop? Well, Tom Holland literally unveiled it from the top of the Empire State Building. That is not a movie scene. That actually happened today, March 18, 2026.
A Trailer Drop Like Never Before
Before Holland climbed to the top of one of New York’s most iconic buildings, Sony and Marvel Studios had already been teasing fans for a full 24 hours.
The studios coordinated with fans and influencers worldwide to release small, seconds-long clips of the trailer, one by one, as each new “brand new day” began across different time zones around the globe. Holland himself called it something “never done before” in Hollywood.
It was basically a global scavenger hunt. And fans went absolutely wild trying to piece it all together.
So What Did the Trailer Actually Show?
Okay, the real question. Here is what was packed into those clips:
Spider-Man stops a moving tank from crashing into a bus, using nothing but his webs. Michael Mando’s Scorpion is back, attacking Peter with his mechanical tail. There is a quiet, emotional shot of Peter standing at Aunt May’s grave in the rain.
Then it gets heartbreaking. Ned walks right past Peter without recognizing him. MJ is seen standing close to another man at a party while Peter watches from a distance. The memory wipe from the last film clearly still stings.
And yes, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is in this. Spider-Man and the Punisher face off, and there are hints the film may loosely adapt Spider-Man: The Other, a comic storyline where Spider-Man actually dies and goes through a transformation.
Eman Esfandi also appears in an undisclosed role, adding another mystery to the mix.
Fans Are Divided on the Marketing
Not everyone was completely sold on the rollout style. Some called it more interactive and exciting than even Marvel’s Doomsday livestream. Others were not as impressed, describing it as “vibes-based marketing” with too many atmospheric shots and not enough actual story context.
But one thing is clear: people are talking, sharing, and watching. That is exactly what Marvel and Sony wanted.
Who Is in the Film?
The cast is stacked. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, and Mark Ruffalo. Jon Bernthal brings the Punisher into the Spider-Man universe, and Marvin Jones III joins as Tombstone.
This is shaping up to be one of the most emotionally complex Spider-Man films yet, dealing with isolation, identity, and Peter trying to rebuild a life nobody remembers he had.
When Does It Release?
Mark your calendar. Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theatres on July 31, 2026.
Summer 2026 just got a whole lot more exciting.
